Food Review :: My Favourite Vegetarian Places in SG

Here are two of my favourite vegetarian eating places in Singapore so far.

1) Miao Yi Vegetarian Restaurant
This is a regular restaurant with quite a good menu. Had my birthday dinner here in 2008 and I’ve been back regularly each time trying to go through the many dishes on the menu. Ask for their specialties and what’s popular. There are quite a few good ones which are surprising and delightful to taste.

Address: 587 Bukit Timah Road, #03-01/02 Coronation Plaza

Opening hours: Daily :: 11am – 3pm, 6pm – 10pm

2) Mai Zhi Su (Ang Mo Kio)
This place is more a casual eating place rather than a restaurant as it’s situated under a HDB block. Don’t let that fool you will really enjoy the food. The ingredients used are always fresh and the taste of their food gets quite close to the meat equivalent. Claypot rice, deer with ginger, wan tun mee. Those are just a few of the many items on the menu. They use quite a bit of ginger for some of their dishes so it’s heaven for ginger lovers. The price is really affordable for the quality and taste of the food.

    I thought that any of the outlets at Fortune Centre will be featured in your blog post. :)

      was gonna write a special one for those outlets but haven’t gotten around to taking pictures yet. one of them is my favourite coz it has a really WIDE range and it’s cooked by these chefs in white hats but the place is like a cafeteria
