2010 has gotten off to an interesting start. I’ve been meeting lots of wonderful people and the best part of that is the great conversations that happen over drinks, dinner, moments between things happening at press events and partying. On Friday, I went to a work event and caught up with three beautiful people. An impromptu decision to do drinks after turned out to be a night of laughter, discovery, walks-down-memory lanes and silly anecdotes.
So my thoughts after this happy encounter is that we should step out of our comfort zone now and again to meet and talk to all kinds of interesting people. Sometimes these meetings give us perspective, ideas, insights, hope, strength, energy and laughs. They’re a great way of making us feel alive!
Much can happen when people come together. So I say get together more!
Disclaimer: this is in reference to reaching out and meeting folks who are happy, positive people charged with living life versus them folks who are the opposite. Them opposite folks can drain and discourage you but there’s always something to learn from it. See where they’re at and the lessons they might be able to share.
