Tennis Doubles: Small To Dramatic

So I’ve started playing tennis again with Chris who’s about the same level I am. We can get the balls over the net and hit a couple of nice looking shots so its fun.

Two friends, Yam & Joshua, got wind of our game and they suggested we play doubles, a match for laughs. As Chris couldn’t decide whether it was gonna on a Thur or Fri Yam pointedly said we should do both Thurs & Fri so the loosing team gets a rematch.

There’s so much nonsense that’s coming out of this match that’s funny so I thought I’d share:

The Malaysians vs Out-Of-Town Singaporeans
-Yam & Joshua are Malaysians, Chris is half Singapore and I live mostly out of Singapre

Chris Evert & Martina Navratilova vs Steffi Graff & Gabriela Sabatini
- There’s an age gap. Yam(43) & Joshua(33) being older than me(38) & Chris(26) so they’re pushing the age thing as a way to sell tickets.

Commentator: Chef Wan
- Thoughts of getting Chef Wan to be the commentator so that it’ll turn out to be the longest tennis match in history

Mei has volunteered to be one of the Pom Pom girls … i’ve never seen pom pom girls at a tennis match

Things that are being discussed:
- Leroy bringing deck-chairs to watch
- satellite broadcast
- selling tickets
- Ameer is suggesting merchandising ideas
