I think Susan was more of an impact leh. Everyone was so sceptical of her to begin with.
Granted, the kid has a great voice but it seems everyone was rooting for him and expecting him to be good to begin with.

many of us identify with & like Susan coz she represents following of dreams even as we age
i’ve seen Susan Boyle sing in other interviews after her wonderful debut and i’m worried she’s not putting enough heart into her singing
this boy has an amazing voice but I’m wondering if he’s gonna be another belter
Simon didn’t think the song was a good song choice so he stopped it half way
i actually didn’t think Amy Whinehouse was a good choice either altho he sounded pretty OK on it
