But you do get a sense of how people’s minds work and see glimpses of their personalities reading their tweets.
I’m scorpiojerm on twitter if anyone is wondering.
So why twitter?
An article in the Businessweek said “Twitterers find and follow the people they care about”.
Its through twitter that I found out that a friend had gotten robbed, got updates about traffic and sometimes learned quirky things.
Following The Edge, CNN or SGnews keeps me up-to-date without having to read newspapers or watch the news or listen to the radio and more often I know things as it happens.
Given the lack of time that has resulted as our lives speed up with the internet & technology plus the overwhelming barrage of information out there, we need to find tools and things to help us sift through all that and that’s what twitter does too.
Guess this means I’ll be twittering regularly now … only thing I’m wondering is will I be twittering for the rest of my life?
That only waits to be seen.

I totally agree with you!
i dont mind twitter, but i do hate seeing lj entries made up of tweets – particularly if there are replies to other people, its like being forced to listen in to a conversation that im not interested in.
if tweets went to SMS as in USA, then i may be more inclined to use it as a replacement to mass-sms
