Things I Hope To Learn

Very interesting talk by Stefan Sameister. Includes a recent project he did in Singapore.

Stefan Sagmeister: Things I have learned in my life so far
http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/stefan_sagmeister_on_what_he_has_learned.html

His work is creatively inspiring and teaches simple lessons in life.

Things he’s learnt recently that strike a cord with me are:
helping other people helps me
everything i do always comes back to me
everybody who is honest is interesting

And these are things that I hope to learn:
thinking life will be better in the future is stupid. i have to live now
assuming is stifling
worrying solves nothing
complaining is silly. either act or forget
traveling alone is helpful for a new perspective on life

Growing older means its a constant process of reminding oneself not to get too set in one’s ways and to keep an open mind to learning new things.

Don’t wanna grow into a guy who shuffles along and mumbles to himself grumbling about all kinds of things.
:-)
