Its been a long time since I bought a book. Time to read seems to be in short supply these days but I ended up with the following today.
The Alchemist by Paul Coelho
The Zahir by Paul Coelho
The PRINCE by Machiavelli
The Seven Cs of Consulting by Mick Cope
I really only intended to get another copy of the Alchemist coz I passed the one I was reading to someone. The signs that this person really needed to read the book were too obvious for me to ignore. Funny how that book came into my life when I’ve started to notice certain things about how life unfolds and the signs that point you to what might be next in life.
I’ve forgotten how much I love reading and the things that books can teach you.
The experience of holding a physical book, turning the pages and taking in what’s written in those pages is very different from reading an electronic version off a screen. Is it maybe cause our hands touch the work and that creates a physical bond so the thoughts are better felt and understood?
Whatever it is … I’m glad to be reading books again.
