The Gift Of Housework

by JermynToh on 20 October, 2008

I read or heard somewhere that housework is a “gift of time”.

never really understood that till today.

Time was 12 midnight …. staring at a pile of dishes + pans left over from this afternoon’s lunch making…. I decided to wash up. (i was rushing out to a fren’s house aft lunch so I left everything in the sink)

As I was washing, I started to ponder over things and think and ponder and realised … wait a minute … housework is a “gift of time” of sorts because you get to think about things, ponder over stuff and sometimes get an alternative perspective on things.

Sigh … am I growing into an old “i-don’t-know-what” or not? don’t say housewife

old hag ;)

but it is true. when things are going too fast, just take a moment and stop in your tracks and give yourself time to think over things. and then take off from there again as a more focused motivated and clear-headed person. no?
