Stumbled upon this a short while back and its been keeping me company a lot lately as I work, surf & cook.
http://www.last.fm
Downloaded the LastFM scrobbler application and when I’m bored of my iTunes list of music, I just launch LastFM, enter in an artiste or the category of music (classical/funk/jazz/world) I wanna listen to and it plays a pretty interesting range of music from that genre.
Love it cause it introduces me to all kinds of new music, artiste and sounds that I would normally never hear anywhere else.

If you are into Lush (the streaming channel), you can go to http://www.chilirec.com where they offer the ability to record streaming music from a large range of streaming web-radio (without even the need to install software as its java based) Last.fm isn’t supported but there’s plenty of other good channels. Register for free and you’d get to download the recorded tracks. Great for getting those obscure tracks!
