I’ve been skyping with my best fren robingoh regularly as he goes through his wonderful ordeal of buying a flat. I skype almost everyday with Arul to get advice on work and to see how she’s doing with her dance performances.
After a little bit of nudging, my dad in Canada installed it so and I just skyped with him.

Its really comforting to be able to see the person you’re talking to and you really can communicate so much more.
Arul was just complaining when the connection was bad and we cudn’t get video yesterday nite that it was like talking to a blank wall without the video feed. We’re getting spoiled by all this technology. 
Really grateful to the inventors of this video conferencing protocol coz it really does make the geographic distance between us seem not so wide after all.
I’m thinking it won’t be too soon in the future, with highspeed broadband being made available everywhere, before this face to face chatting becomes a norm since some of us lug our laptops with us almost everywhere.
I already lug my lappie everywhere i go!
Skype is good le, I call back home every week and listen to my parents rattle off
