Came in to the office today and my staff were all in a state of semi-frenzy.
One of the girls was at home last nite when robbers managed to get in and robbed the family. The girl had sent those in the office a message on MSN to call the police. She kept logging in and out and the people in the office were rather worried. One guy managed to get her address from her and they trouped down late last night to see her and her family in Jalan Ipoh.
Lots of things were taken. They didn’t see the car so they’re suspecting maybe that was taken as well.
Her and her family are in a state of shock. I can’t imagine what the trauma of such an experience must be like.
I really need to remind myself to be more careful and not to take things for granted in a city where such things are a commonplace occurrence.
Everyone who’s in Malaysia …. be careful yah.
Make sure you have a way of letting others know if something happens to you and they know where you live in case they have to call the police on your behalf.

Yeah, the safety in Malaysia is never improved, but worsen… Heard from my aunt that there is another case in Sri Petaling, which happened to her neighbour that there were 4 robbers who brough the ‘parang’ with them, and managed to rob her neighbour and injured the guy by cutting the vein and arteries, also they managed to rob the car, but luckily the car could not start, and this happen is just right in front of the house, while is at 9pm. Very horrify.
This so scary. Crime rate is really going up in Malaysia, huh?
my friends parents used to live in a large house in one of the posh neighbourhoods in KL.
then they were actually burgled and were even left tied up after the robbers left the house.
the poor mum never felt secure in the house again so they moved to a condo with security.
