Do note though that overclocking will void your warranty + it does not solve the memory problem you have, just makes things run faster…

Poor thing, but yes I heard most people overclock their Touch a fair bit to get the boost in performance they need…

Well if you ever get the iPhone, it’s also somewhat of a PDA phone so don’t jinx yourself by saying such things first

was out on the weekend and its funny how all my fren did was tease me about my HTC Touch and 2 other guys who owned the phone immediately chipped in about their woes as well.

one guy said there was a time for about 30 mins he cudn't access his phone book or make out-going calls coz the phone just kept "processing"

that made me recall a time when it took about 30 seconds for me to get into my phonebook and the ocassional times it takes about 10 - 15 seconds for my SMS application to launch

..... i really think the phone needs more memory for processing

i used to have an O2 ... the SMSing facility was much better actually coz it had the phonepad feature... but even still ... the O2 got regulated to my secondary phone

sigh ... maybe i'm just not cut out to be a PDA user ... this is 4 strikes after my Palm, Sony Clie & O2

Actually was asking you to try just installing the Phonepad and not the entire update, that’s what I helped HM do for his Tytn II and it works very well so far…

Sweets, just get a Sony Ericsson and all will be fine. Just make sure you attach it to a chain and have it soldered to your bone so you will never lose it again. Or, just leave it in your bag when you are in the gym, and thereby minimising your chance of misplacing or having it stolen. =)

I did think of getting the HTC Touch but thought better of it. I only use Microsoft products because I have to. Like my work notebook, other than that, I stay far away from it. Meaning, no Windows Mobile and all its bloatware.
