Day 6 without cigarettes … or is it Day 5 … or is it Day 1?

yesterday was a cop out …. something stressful happened in the morning and i immediately lit up when i got into the office.

part of my brain kept telling myelf i didn’t need the cigarattes after the 2nd one but i just kept lighting up the rest of the morning out of habbit…. the good thing is i didn’t finish most of the cigarettes coz after a few puffs … the taste got to me. i pretty much stopped again by the afternoon

went grocery shopping last night and just before stepping in to the supermarket … i thought i’d give myself another puff …. and this time it was worse … made it through 3 puffs before tossing the cigarette away

wonder why the taste is so awful for someone who’s just quit. i kep thinking back to how one picks it up again … one wud really need to work past the taste of a cigarette and like it again.

when i got into the car this morning … i was so tempted to light up like i normally do but i realised i wanted to do it not because i needed to … but because it’s a habbit.

so i’m back to not smoking … its day 5 i guess since yest doesn’t count …. or is it technically day 1 again?

hmmmm ….

    toss it, bin it, throw it; well, u can do anything to it but not to lit it!

    become healthier, perform better, smell nicer; well, u could be the MAN as long as u didn’t pick up that lighter!

    I had a chalet yesterday. and after about 4 days witout smoking, i bought my 1st pack for the chalet.

    and yes…. finished it in one night. juz coz everyone else kept smoking. temptation temptation.

    it’s day one again, unfortunately. don’t despair though. search deep within your self. if you truly want to quit, you just will. if you fail, it’s because you don’t want to bad enough, and it’s ok. one step at a time.

    I think not liking the taste is a good aid in trying to quit altogether.

    It is so hard to break habits, and your body just do those things without you needing to think! That’s when you have to be constantly conscious of your every movement. Mentally straining.
