Flying for 3 yrs has its benefits. We had 20 mins before needing to leave the house … junhon was all over the place, having packed his things into too small a bag and with many things yet to do. I repacked everything into a large black samsonite in 10 mins and even managed to squeeze in a suit, all his power cords, toiletries bag and a lot of last minute stuff he decided to throw in.
Packing speed is learnt from sleeping till the very last minute and having to get ready in little time to look well-groomed when you report for duty. You sleep tille the very last minute to look your freshest and be at your most recharged when you report for work.
We then rushed to KL Sentral to get him checked in and had time for dinner before he got on the train to the aiport. I keep forgetting when u’re no longer crew that it takes at least 30 mins to check in alongside normal folk. Jumping queues at airport / airline related places and crew discounts around the world is what i miss about being crew.
Bryans’s gone for 16 days to visit his god-mom in Melbourne and then see Sydney so the house is damn quiet. Even the cats miss him as they now only have me to harras for affection.
I chatted with a fren on the phone till 2.30am and was up at 9am for tennis. Hit the supermarket at 1pm and bought a trolley load of groceries, I came home, ate lunch, vege-d a little, took a nap till 5pm and just threw a chicken into the slow cooker for dinner.
Even though I’ve been in hermit mode recently and haven’t yearned for company …. and Bryan and I don’t really see each other much coz we have very different schedules and stay in different rooms, its still nice to have company in the house.
Sigh …. I’m glad Emma is coming over for a few days so at least I’ll have human contact this weekend.
I can’t wait to go Taiwan on 9 Aug. Being in a different country will be a nice change.
