Fren in Office and World AIDS Day in Kuala Lumpur

About a month ago …. I asked a good fren of mine to come work with me coz I really needed someone to help think up marketing ideas and other strategy stuff that I pretend to do. He took a while to consider but he finally agreed …. leaving the banking industry he was from.

We were both worried how this would affect our friendship ….. its been 2 weeks and I’m really glad he’s come onboard.

For one thing, its nice to have another brain you can pick and for another …. its really nice to have a close fren at work to go out for lunch with. We’ve gotten closer coz of the long hours we spend together at work and on the long drives to and from meetings. KL traffic being the way it is …. an hour or 2 of silence and not having things to talk about in the car can be tiring … and its more so coz I’m the boss and all my staff seem to be scared of sharing too much.

I’m glad our personalities are such that we’re not dying to kill each other in-spite of all the time we spend together. (We play tennis together on Sat morning and even party together weekend nites).

Anyway ( goodthing71 ) … this good friend of mine (now colleague) has been ranting and raving about there not being a single thing done in media or on the streets of Malaysia or KL about AIDS awareness or the AIDS cause even though its 1 December.

Hey Andrew ( goodthing71 ) – here’s my token effort … next year when you’re more settled at work … we do something more la.

I often find that it’s when your life is at its most unsettled that it’s the best time to write. Not only is there more to write about, you may also find it quite cathartic. Some things you discover only when you put pen to thought.

Hey Rob, I’m not quite the writer and I actually signed up to read yours and Jermyn’s entries. Perhaps when I’m more settled in my life, I’ll be more confident to write something. So watch this space.

    Hope you’re well.
