junhon’s first LJ entry talks about the little paunch I now have and having this re-inforced by some other frens in KL has had the desired effect.
I’ve started running at the gym again. actually tried running on Wed but after 15 mins on the stair master, my calves cramped up so badly I only managed 5 mins on the treadmill.
Rested Thurs and I managed to stay on the treadmill for 30 mins on Fri & Sat. But running again on Sat hurt coz I didn’t have the correct shoes … so I ended up buying a pair from Lot 10’s Isetan. RM349 marked down to RM208!! White adidas adiprene ClimaCool running shoes. They’re nice and light and airy!!!
funnily enough … I woke up after 4 hrs of sleep on sunday and made a decision that I wasn’t going to taipei again in end-august. I had planned to and even emmamayhew was surprised at my “secret” trip. something in me sort of just decided I should cut down on travelling to parties in the region for the rest of this year and I should get my body into a more healthy routine. Someone slap me if I change my mind and book my flight ticket.
so despite having gone out on Sat nite till 8am on Sun morning and only sleeping for 4 hours … i did 30 mins of yoga
this was after a fren asked what yoga style i’d recommend. telling him why I like Ashtanga inspired me to practise again after a break of several months.
30 mins of yoga on a sunday evening before picking up junhon for dinner. actually the opening salutations + the fundemental asanas + primary series + finishing poses would take about 2 hours … so i was really just warming up my body
I’ve forgotten how much I like yoga and re-reading some of the research I did …. i discovered new things about breathing techniques …. and that its actually the breathing that is more important than the Asanas.
amazing how much more information is available now compared to 4 yrs ago when i first got hooked

Let’s hope I get some time this week to go home early and see how much of the asanas i recall. then once i’ve refreshed my memory …i can look for a yoga shala to do mysore style practise
