Dad hasn’t been to KL for more than 12 years so I decided I’d take them up north for a short getaway. Got Robin to come along for moral support when my mom nagged about my driving (and she did non-stop up to KL and back to SG). He’s known them about 15 years and having Mr Goh around really helped. Also gave us an excuse to leave them alone so they could do their own thing and we could run away to play at night.
Drove up on Friday and we spent 3 days shopping, visting the Petronas Towers and eating lots & lots! The food is amazing and I’ve never seen my dad buy so much clothes for himself. He usually never gets more than 1 shirt a year …. always refusing to spend on certain things he deems unnecessary … but he bought 5 on this trip!!!!
They described KL as a vibrant, chaotic city full of tastes, sights, sounds and experiences that bring back memories of Singapore many years ago.
They even managed to get a taste of KL traffic as we got stuck outside Mid-Valley Megamall for an hour before making our way to Wang Utama before we drove back to SG. Thanks to Mr Quah for instructions on getting around KL. We all agree if it wasn’t for you, we’d have driven around in circles and been terribly frustrated with the uselessness of the street map.
It was a really wonderful trip … time with family .. time with my best fren … … time with KL friends …. seeing my parents hold hands and walk around.

went to Mid Valley Mega Mall sometime back..really v big..and saw lotsa brands (eg Mango) that SG has too…

go to KL Plaza – there got F.O.S.
then i think a lot of places having sale like Studio Tangs at Sungei Wang
if you get the chance … have someone bring you to Mid-Valley Mega Mall!!! That one is HUGE and you can walk and walk and walk until u peng sang … but go at 11am on weekdays … if not very crowded
where to shop where to shop? me heading to KL next weekend..any good places to recommend?

Beautiful pictures, although it looks like I wore ONE shirt throughout the entire trip! Actually I shopped a storm too: 3 pants, five tops and S$100 worth of Calvin Klein underwear! Thanks for having me along!
