wondering if lasik is going to be the norm soon for vision correction .. just like contact lens quickly became the norm for people who didn’t want to wear specs
anyways … final test …. left eye .. the good one …. 6/6 ….. right eye … the one with the retinal detachment previously ….. 6/6!!!!
couldn’t have hoped for a better result … even the doctor was amazed … he said he wasn’t expecting such a good recovery / result.
oh well … i’m starting to take for granted close to perfect vision …. the joys of not worrying about plucking things out of ur eyes .. ur eyes drying out … etc etc!!
YAY!!!!

hehehe… true, can swim in the ocean without goggles… dun have to worry abt infection… can have people cum in your eye…
ha!?? only survivor?
think you can also go home with guys and not worry if they have contact lens solution … or better yet run off on holiday at a moments notice with just ur passport … not ur glasses, contact lens case & solutions
hmmm.. i want to lor… so much better. can play survivor
haha
i used to think that … but the technology has really evolved so much since it was first introduced in 1991 in the US. the success rate for surgery is very high and the side effects like glare & dry eyes have gotten less and less
i know a friend who went with me and had 6/6 vision 3 days after surgery. i was jealous and upset as my vision was 9/6 and 12/6 …. but now 3 months after the op … things look great!!!
the longer u wait the better the technology becomes ….go for it when u feel comfortable la .. but i really do recommend it … its LIBERATING!!!
actually there are many things that can happen after surgery as the success of the operation depends on how well the body or eye in this case heals.
one of the possible things that can happen is blindness and you have to sign a statement saying that you are prepared to accept this risk before they let u go ahead with surgery.
if the operation and healing is all successful … there are not really any major side effects other than ur eyes being a little drier than before the op
i had dry eyes for about a month after my op so i had to use eye drops about 5 to 6 times a day. my doctor now says my eyes aren’t dry anymore so i’m just wondering if the feeling i have that my eyes are dry is psychological

you thinking of doing the operation?
i recommend it if ur corneas are thick enough … it really feels so different to get your vision back!!!
6/6 and 6/6 wow… congrat!!! The last time my vision was perfect would be when I was 18. Still have my doubts about Lasik though. There is still some risk involved.
what are the long term effects of lasik?
Yeah we all KNOW why you did you lasik hor hor???
hee hee…
congrats anyways
congrats!
