SIGH …. moving house on Sunday.
Been packing up my place for the past 2 weeks …. bit by bit …. corner by corner. A person really does accumulate a lot of junk when he has a whole house to himself. Been throwing away bags and bags of unnecessary stuff and yet I still have so much I can’t get rid of. ARGH!!!! Looks like I’ll just lock a lot of the stuff in the other room and forget about it.
Leaving the east and moving to the west. A first for me. Been either staying in Serangoon Gardens or the Marine Parade area for most of my life in Singapore. Gonna miss the east!!!! All the food and the atmosphere and the life … walking across to the beach … sigh.
Realised I don’t really miss gardens … only the BIG HOUSE where I had loads of space to store all my junk. It never really felt like home after my parents tore down the old house to rebuild a spanking new 2 storey thing.
Seems another phase of my life has come and gone.
Its amazing that with each move my life seems to go through a major phase. My parents have migrated and I seem to have been unlaiden from life’s other baggages so this move is like stepping out on my own into the unknown ….. into HDB heartland. 
A little overwhelming I guess. It’ll be an adventure!!!
Sigh .. now just to get the headache of the move and unpacking out of the way and get to making the place comfy and cosy.
Hope the 2 kids (Dino and Jasper) will be able to adjust well too.

yes mum…. please kindly provide the necessary cleaning tools & detergents and a salary of $250 – $500 for EACH cleaning service (depending of how dirty the room is).

Used to stay at Worthing Road … which is like behind the country club. Parents was there for 20 years plus before they sold the house and migrated to Canada.
Studying at the CC!!!! I used to go to the Country club to study for O levels but ended up playing arcade games or mahjong and swimming. Very little real work done!
I remember Buddy’s fastfood restaurant and Fitzpatrick!! heheh … and the lady with very thick make-up selling Prawm Mee soup at Chomp Chomp!

heh..yeah..became a ‘disco’ roller-skating rink ..and then burger king and after that..i dunno what else liao
Heh..i was forever at the space invaders and donkey kong game..Found out how to get free games (by switchin off n on the machine very fast) but that also meant i destroyed my own high score 
Where were u stayin then? I moved twice in gardens..Borthwick Drive first then Jalan Pacheli (next to Li Hwan). Heh..and i used to always go to the community centre to ‘study’ but always end up playing table tennis or basket ball

Hee..i used to rent a place at Margaret Drive..very near commonwealth. The chicken wings/beehoon damn shioks!! And the fish noodles soup too!!!!

obviously calling the wrong movers.
yeah … think the other room will be store room cum guest room … likely many couples will be using it so need maid service to clean up after the couples leave …. must make sure no stains on the bed and mattress and all bodily fluids removed from furniture and walls!!!

hahah … its Ok la ….got movers to come do it … not gonna break my back moving cupboards, beds and sofas
hopefully the movers are cute … but given all the times i’ve moevd and seeing anything cute … i won’t be holding my breath
hmmmm …. will fight off aunty hood as much as i can!!!
but the area is nice la … when u all come then can see how cosy it feels
ha!!! now then say …. oh well … will see what I have left and then see if anything is worth while passing on to people la.
GOODNESS!!!! Paramount!!! I moved into Gardens just as Paramount closed down .. and turned into a roller-skating ring!!!!! Stayed there and watched the place transform into what it is now … a rather souless shadow of the good old past.
Hmmmm … never saw you at the arcades leh … or maybe saw you and we never realised we knew each other in the past. Signapore is SO SMALL!!!!
Moving to Commonwealth Drive …. a stone’s throw away from Sam’s place and also near the shop la so i don’t have to commute so much.
see how la … once the place gets into some kind of a nice looking state i’ll invite people over!

I grew up in Gardens….and stayed there half my life..used to always hang ard the arcades and MIB and watch movies at Paramount..it has changed so much.
