Wat a surprise we received when Rob, Stella and I walked into this empty shell of what we remember of Taboo .. the dark hole in the wall which transformed itself several times over the last 6 yrs. There were high tables put together to form a make-shift bar and a projector screen admits the floors and walls that had been stripped of every fixture. There wasn’t even any air-conditioning and everyone was standing around looking a little disappointed. We were told the contractor played them out and didn’t finish the new look in time for the Anniversary.
Bloody Liars and Drama Queens gay guys will always be!!!! Next thing we knew … they were ushering us into these buses and telling those of us who drove to meet them at 65/67 Neil Road. Alternative venue for the anniversary party we thought …. till we got their and saw what looked suspiciously to be a relocated NEW Taboo. In through the doors we walked, down a short corridor and wah lah … glittering glamour of their new home! Yeah yeah … we were suckers who fell for usual GAY drama antics!!
The new place is lovely!!! Dance floor is a little smaller but they’ve got 3 floors!!! Here are the pictures that we took …. not from the opening nite but from the first Friday we were partying!!
